Artist & Songwriter

Biography

Sammi Palinkas is a contemporary country Artist & Songwriter who started singing at the age of 3. Her journey in the music industry began at the age of 8 when she won the national televised singing competition "Anastasia Sings Around the World" hosted by Sonia Kruger (Gold FM & partners, 20th Century Fox, Channel 7 and the 11am Show), celebrating the release of the Children's movie "Anastasia", sending her family on an all expenses paid trip to Paris.

Sammi's love for performing led her to many stage and TV appearances, and when she was 11 years old she played "Pepper" in the Melbourne season of "Annie" at the Regent Theatre (starring Anthony Warlow). She spent the following years developing her craft and continued to pursue her passion for singing and songwriting, before being given the opportunity in 2010 to write in the US (LA, New York & Nashville), collaborating with Songwriters/Producers such as Andrew Bolooki (Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, Post Malone), Fiona Kernaghan (Mindy McReady, Tina Arena), Sally Barris (Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack), Sam Gay & Templeton Thompson (Reba McEntire, Jo Dee Messina), amongst others.

Over the last 12 months, Sammi has been working on her first Album with award-winning Australian Producer Rod McCormack (Paul Kelly, Wolfe Brothers, and Lee Kernaghan).  Her first single, "Meet in the Middle" (written with Sally Barris and Rod McCormack), is a contemporary country, Shania-Twain inspired song about how opposites attract, and how love is all about give and take.  Her musical influences include Shania Twain, Keith Urban, Carly Pearce, LeAnn Rimes, and Carrie Underwood.
